First you should know my web hosting background, both where I’ve come from technically from a hosting standponit and where I am now, and that will help clarify why I’m a happy GreenGeeks.com customer.

I’d previously hosted with Netfirms (for over five years) and then GoDaddy (for less than 2 months) and was looking for a host that would be a great host for Drupal installs. GreenGeeks is now my host of choice for Drupal hosting.

Up until about a year ago, my websites were plain HTML with SSI (server-side includes), and this past year I’d been working with Joomla and Drupal content management systems.which require PHP and MySQL (or other database) to support those applications.

My previous host supported Drupal and Joomla installs, but the speed of those applications on that host was noticeably poor. The speed of my Drupal websites hosted on GreenGeeks.com services have been VERY good.

With that bit about my background and needs behind us, lets focus on my experiences having been with GreenGeeks.com since then.

With GreenGeeks.com hosting, I’ve been able to host multiple domains on a single account. I’ve also been able to quickly and easily (not waiting for an admin to do the work like other hosts I’d tried short-term) perform multiple installs of Drupal with Fantastico Deluxe.

I’ve only encountered downtime twice, once scheduled and once I perceived as an emergency maintenace, which means I’ve had a couple help-desk tickets opened to them. Both times I’ve gotten good responses, from bots first, then from humans. In fact, when I challenged the logic of what they’d done, the humans responded thoughtfully, and clearly not from a script. Even if I disagreed with them, it gave me confidence that they’d put some thought into their information-technology policies.

Beyond that, I’ve been impressed with their FAQ documentation (which surprises even me). But really, most of the control panel features are pretty self-explanatory. That which requires more detail, I’ve found in their FAQ.

I’m a happy customer, and am glad I found them right as my needs outgrew my long-time host.

GreenGeeks is a webhosting company based in California which was listed since 2008. I am hosting my a couple of websites with them since early last year and so far their service is exemplary. Their customer service representatives are very friendly. The only problem I encountered with them was one of my websites took three days to update the DNS. But when I was very surprised to find out that it's very easy to access their customer support group. I took only a five minutes and the problem was solved.

The best thing about them in my opinion is the fact that they using eco friendly energy powered equipments which makes them very supportive to the environment. Another factor that I liked their service I find their site very easy to navigate. I can easily get access to video tutorials and it didn't take long before I got my site online. The account administration is very dynamic which saves me a lot of time. One can easily build their site at a fraction of time.

GreenGeeks is a pretty good hoster, with english speaking support service. I noticed a huge difference between talking to support services outsourced to Russia and UK or US based support. I received quality advice very fast. Nowadays, all the hosting companies are more or less the same. They all offer unlimited space/bandwidth, and other features (mysql, php, ssl) come as standard across the industry. That’s why customer help is
an important aspect for me. In terms of technical dimensions, GreenGeeks is a reliable hoster. I have never experience any down time or slowdowns. I would strongly suggest anyone looking for a hosting with quality customer tech support to consider GreenGeeks, you will not be disappointed.

This is a modest hosting, and I did not really have any problems with it. I got a bit of an experience with hosting and did not really need to seek help from tech support. I had only one issue with double charging, and it took a while to get a refund. Billing department took their sweet time to credit money back to my credit card. I was running a medium size website based on the wordpress engine, and I have not really pushed the boundaries of my hosting, but it was working perfectly to meet my demands. I recommended using this company to a lot of my friends and they did not have any complaints. When it comes to pricing, it is not the most competitive, but it is still not that bad.

GreenGeeks migrated my site from my old host and they seem to do all this hosting stuff better than my old hosting provider. They were always available. I'm pleased.
