I was looking for a decent web hosting for my online projects and decided to go with FatCow, because of their unlimited bandwidth and low price compared to other providers. In my opinion their service is about average, there were some minor problems and their customer support is not that great, but it’s to be expected because of the price. Another thing that I did not like about them is that they advertise unlimited bandwidth which you really do not get, there is a limit, which in my opinion is random and when you hit it, they refuse to bump it. To add more their uptime is much lower than advertised and their server connection is really slow or they have too much users on one ‘pipe’, which limits good user experience to your site visitors and is annoying when you need to upload files trough FTP to your site. Another thing that bothered me is the lack of server resources. In conclusion FatCow is good for beginners or small random online projects, but if you are looking for quality hosting solution to run a serious project then FatCow is not the way to go and I regret not paying more for more reliable and better supported hosting service.

This was a completely unusable hosting company. I’ve been having problems with them since day one. I regret not switching out right away,but I did not. I tried arguing with them, but it was completely useless, so I just abandoned the membership, forwarded my domain name, and left at that. Customer service was useless, and when I tried to argue they just blew me off. It was $80 that I threw out, but I figured to go somewhere better and save myself a headache. Service was down 90% of the time, and rest of the time it was extremely slow. It was also impossible to get my files through FTP account. Overall, I was really disappointed, but it was my mistake, because I did not make enough research on this company.

I signed up with company, because of the unlimited bandwidth feature. Your bandwidth is limited to whatever the company thinks is appropriate to your type of website. Basically, you don’t know how much bandwidth you paying for until you hit your limit and they will refuse to bump it up. At least that was my experience when my website started gaining popularity and my bandwidth could not keep with the demand, and my website ended going offline for quite a while. Attempt to use Joomla completely failed, because there was not enough resources. In addition, I think they excessively cap ftp access speed, which made impossible to edit files in online mode. My mistake was that I did not read the terms and conditions, which hint that you pretty much not getting what is advertised. My advice is to stay away from this hosting company.

After disappointed another hosting, I choose Fatcow as my new hosting provider. As I have been used at least 3 hosting before, I found out Fatcow is the best ever hosting I have used so far. The reason I give high rating to Fatcow for the reason below:
a. Very Good Support with proficient technical knowledge.
Eg. The support can even point out the error in the php script that cause the sites not running well. Most of the time, we can solve the technical problem immediately with live support (24/7) instead of need to open a ticket and wait for 1 day or longer time. So, their live support is very technically trained.
b. Reliability and Good Secure hosting
I have very bad experience of previous hosting that my sites were hacked easily by hacker. But, I hardly have this problem after using Fatcow. There is only 1 case due to the script I bought was opened a backdoor by the freelancer. Fatcow support even point out where is the backdoor script and ask me to delete it. This is really fantastic! Another good merit of its cpanel is I can disable the ftp when I do not want to use it. So, this also help hackers to hack my ftp login.
c. very good uptime hosting
I have used external services to monitor the uptime of my website. So far I can see the uptime is excellent.
d. Daily server back up and online back up system
There is online backup system and easily restore to original website condition that I really love it.
e. Google Webmaster Tools integrated in cpanel
As I am internet marketer, this function gives me convenience for me to analyse my website performance and how googlebot read my sites.
Overall I give very high rating to this hosting. The only point I am not so satisfied is the hosting cpanel interface. At the beginning, I need to spend little time to familiar how to add a registered domain and how to point my domain name to correct Fatcow server. This takes me little longer time than usual to find the answer from the Helpdesk. After familiar with the cpanel, i start getting like to use it.
In my opinion after using, I really suggest you can consider this hosting especially i like the reliable and highly security hosting services.
