Are there any reasons that HostGator could cancel my contract?
Every single web host these days has a huge list of terms and conditions that you will have to agree to when you sign up with them. A lot of people however simply do not even bother reading these terms and conditions at all when they sign up and they simply check the box that says that they agree with them. If you are one of these people, you could land yourselves in a lot of trouble as if you break the rules in the terms and conditions, web hosts will cancel your account. In HostGators terms and conditions, it states many things that they might cancel your account for. One of the most sever things is if you host any form of indecent material such as child pornography and anything illegal. Although HostGator are in fact one of the few web hosts out there that do allow you to host ‘adult’ websites and content on their servers, if you host anything illegal or indecent, then they will certainly ban your account. They will also cancel your account if they find that you are suing their services in order to run any form of a scam or send out spam email. If you are found to be scamming people, then not only will they cancel your account, but chances are that the police will also be notified.
